Note- when I started doing this column, it was going to be back to the history of ECW and all the things that made it what it is today. I have been getting quite a few emails from folks wanting me to delve back in the archives for "classic ECW". I hope to be doing this on a monthly basis with your kind permission.

So, this week for your perusal, the HardCore Control Centre for October 31, 1995. Enjoy....

We start off with a visit from Buelah and her Box. And its Steve Austin’s imitation of Eric Bischoff and he talks about how this is Monday Nitro where the big boys play with each other. He’s with Bongo. Most dangerous match, bottle of geritol on a pole match on Monday Nyquil. He’s got the imitation of Bischoff down in which he talks about how he knows now of the hold names and these matches will probably put you to sleep.

Show open is the same with Sandman and the belt. Tonight is the PitBulls ;Mikey with PE in Central Park and the Mikey/Sandman ladder match. This is how ladder matches should be. Talk of November to Remember starts. Flagstaff on Nov 17th Mikey vs Rey Misterio. Next night at Arena, its Public Enemy vs Sandman & 2 Cold. Also announced Cactus Jack and Raven vs Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk, thats Nov 18th at the ECW Arena

Back to the ring after more with AustinBischoff and its the PitBulls making quick work of Don E Allen (#499) and Tony Stetson. Francine is with em sporting similar attire. Jason did make an appearance and wanted to see about retaking over the PitBulls. Jason kicks Francine and then as the PitBulls help her, Saturn and Cronos - the Eliminators make the save for Jason. Then to help the PitBulls, its Rick Steiner and Taz. They’re left barking in the ring.

Eliminators are back in the ring after the break and they attack Taz and Rick., then the PitBulls are back out to help out Taz and Rick. They clean house of the Eliminators and Jason.

Up next are announcement shows scheduled for this weekend. Friday night in Reading, PA- Saturday in Glenolden, PA and the November to Remember 11/17 at the Flagstaff in Jim Thorpe as then its the ECW Arena on the 18th.

Then, its more on the Dudleys. At the November to Remember. There is going to be a special guest ring announcer. not going to be Big Dick or Dudley. not Sign Guy cause they arent a bunch of mutes- so its going to be Bu-Bu-Bu-Bu-Bu-Bubba Ray Dudley. Remember, its not just a name- its a way of life.

Time for a training session with Mikey and Public Enemy. There’s in Central Park ad how the greatest fighters trained there. The PE is putting Mikey into serious hoodie training- they need stuff from the police. Rocco has to get the stuff and he’ll be back. Mikey and Johnny are left alone. If Mikey wants to beat the Sandman, he has to think like the Sandman- so they have a ladder and a six pack on top of a tree branch. Mikey has to climb hte ladder, get a beer- count to ten- then go back. While Mikey counts, Johnny is downing the Bud- 2nd time, Johnny wants Mikey to count to five. Mikey is feeling better than Johnny during this session. After Mikey gets back with the final beer, Johnny says Sandman won’t stand a chance with him, Rocco gets back and knocks Johnny over with Mikey on the ladder. It gets knocked over and Mikey is hanging from the tree. Rocco quotes “As I walk into the shadow of death, the only thing I fear is Johnny’s breath.”

Back to the ring and the ladder match as its Mikey Whipwreck vs the Sandman and Woman. For those of you just tuning in- Mikey won the ECW World Heavyweight Title from Sandman. Before the match starts of course, Superstar Steve Austin makes an appearance and subsequently carts Woman off. Ladder comes into play right away and its Mikey with it. The ladder was of course used in some of the more psycho bumps one of which was Mikey’s head hitting the ladder which was shown again in Extreme Replay form with just the sound of Mikey’s head hitting the ladder ala ESPN’s use of the close mics for a check. Sandman uses the ladder as a teeter totter as its across the barricade and Mikey gets the top of the ladder in the chops. Sandman drops the ladder, but misses and Mikey gets control again of the ladder and Mikey continues the beating. Mikey hits the splash off the top rope and Mikey wins! Mikey WIns! Cactus is out to help celebrate with Mikey ( him and Cactus were tag champs) none of the other wrestlers trust Cactus. Sandman is a bloody belt-less champ. The pin is shown again. Sandman’s title reign is illustrated with Sid Vicious ( the real one’s) version of My Way. He reigned from April 15, 1995- October 28, 1995. Highlights include beating Shane, the canings various views of Woman. The end of this is a bloody Sandman and Woman Sandman takes a puff, says “I’ll handle this my way”.

Cards were announced for this weekend as on Friday night, November 3rd at Bodyslammers Gym in Reading, PA for information call 610-376-2880 Matches are: First Man to throw a punch loses Cactus Jack vs Tommy Dreamer ECW TV Title Match 2 Cold Scorpio vs Taz Tag Team War Public Enemy vs Raven & Richards

Then on Saturday Nov 4th, its off to the Fieldhouse in Glenolden, PA Announced matches are Tommy Dreamer & the PitBulls vs Cactus& Raven & Richards ECW World Heavyweight Title- THE REMATCH Mikey Whipwreck vs the Sandman w/ Woman NO DQ- Must be a winner The Public Enemy vs the Dudley Boys

Then its the THIRD ANNUAL NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER kicking off Friday night November 17th at the Flagstaff in Jim Thorpe, PA as its an ECW World Heavyweight Title Match Mikey Whipwreck vs Rey Misterio, Jr

and then its to the ECW Arena Saturday night November 18th announced so far-- its the REVENGE MATCH Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk vs Cactus Jack & Raven ECW World Tag Team Title Matchup 2 Cold Scorpio & the Sandman vs Public Enemy Mexican Death Match Rey Misterio Jr vs Psicosis and the return of the Extreme Superstar to the ring Steve Austin all that and more- for info call 610-544-0421

In conclusion, let me apologize to all of you that look for this report and really enjoy its indepth analysis, but the ghosts and goblins of Halloween got into my computer and I’m only able to bring you this quick update. I’ll be back next week with my usual complete update.
