ECWNews.com Survivor Week One Recap

“ The Tribe has spoken”, “ and then there were nine”- say it however you want. We have our first causality from “the island” and it’s a surprise for all of us here. ECWKatFite, your torch is out and its time for you to go.
We had always felt that Jacquie was one of the more controversial columnists here; but in no way did we expect her to be the first one done. It wasn’t even close- this was a done deal very early on. Due to a lot of the emails that I got from staff and fans alike- the future polls will be changed. There is going to be a space for your comments. We really want to see how you’re voting and why you’re sending off whom you’re sending off. We’ll be printing some of them in future editions.
Now, while I still have time,
please to let me muse over the results and how I see it all going.
Frank Romeo came up a surprising 2nd this week. I guess Jeff Jones has found himself a lot of IP’s to log on from. But really, Frank’s result this week was interesting. With the next poll starting shortly (or having already started by the time you read this), the eyes will be upon him as the voting gets rolling and he is the next one to be voted off or do we have someone jump up from the next little pack.
The third place pack was
interesting, made up our editor/occasional editor BJ Leiby; the newest
superstar for Gateway Championship Wrestling and myself. My finish is actually
surprising. Not that I want to be voted off, I’d love to win- ask my friends
and family- I need another t-shirt. But, no, considering all of my “ friends”
out there in cyberspace, I’d thought I’d be “outta here” already. BJ is
another interesting one who finished mid pack. I expected him gone as well.
Should he be knocked off, it’s only as a columnist.
It’s been interesting reading
Billy’s rise through the ranks of pro wrestling, shame the rest of you
don’t feel the same I guess. The way that this mid point crew finishes
next week is going to be very interesting indeed.
G ward’s finish was the surprise of all. Now that it looks as though he is back to write columns and piss people off, it’s just a matter of time, expect him to be a bit higher up in weeks to come.
Other surprises this week were David Pantone and John Sullo. Here’s a guy in Dave who hasn’t done a column since March of 2000. I am hoping he comes back and gives us his view on TNN. Enjoy it while you can, my friend. Same w/ Sullo- his Arena Memories are from last week. Pretty amazing there.
Then bringing up the rear is actually no surprise. But you’d like to think that people might be a bit miffed with his constant correct predictions or maybe that is what ‘s been saving him. I guess then too the rest of the bleacher dwellers like Massa’s comments.
How will the rest of this poll go? Its gonna be neat to find out. I predict that Frank Romeo somehow survives the next poll and our Irish Luchador, well, Irish Assassin- Billy Mc Neill is next to go.
As is the case with the show, Survivor, the person voted off must leave immediately. You will notice all of the links to ECW KatFite are gone. Like I said, we’re serious. However, we do also allow the voted off columnist a bit of rebuttal-
We recieved no response from ECWKatFite when asked for a final comment.
However, we'd like to think her feelings of being voted off first were summed up in what in fact now becomes "her last column"....
I've been
writing columns for about four years now. My style has not changed. I'd
say it's got a little of everything. I try to bring a female perspective
to it. Hell, I'm a woman who enjoys watching two guys beating each other
up. Sometimes those guys are drop dead gorgeous and visit me in my dreams
(I can't tell you what Kid Kash and I were doing last night - this is still
a PG-17 rated column.) My "name dropping" is an affectionate way of giving
shout outs to people who have had some kind of impact on me between columns.
And it's always done in fun.
So, this
brings me back to my critic. OR to ANYONE who doesn't like my column?.
Here's my very public response:
Fuck you.
very well put.
Our final results are as follows:
BJ Leiby (31) 11%
Billy Mc Neill (26)
10%
