How Do Everyone—
Well, yeah, every Feb 29th I’d thought I’d crank a column out. No, no- as mentioned last time, CyberSlam 2000 is cranking up and a lot of my time has gone making sure that is going to be an event to remember. More about that a bit later on.
First off, I’d like to do a couple, Shout-outs, as you teenagers say. First one is to Bubba Ray and Dvon Dudley. Congratulations on getting the WWF Tag Team Titles. I knew it was only a matter of time, they’ve done an outstanding volume of work so far in the WWF and they’re just getting started. It’s great when someone from “home” does well, but its even better when its someone you know.
Also belated congratulations to Chris Benoit on the blessed event. I had the pleasure of knowing Nancy Sullivan some while she was in ECW. All my best wishes to the happy couple.
I’m not sure what Vince and the boys in the WWF have in store, or what’s
up- but I’m hoping that the “No Way Out” match isn’t the last we see of
Mick Foley. I understand that he is legitimately retiring, but it would
be a shame to not see him make Wrestlemania. I was getting concerned that
those chairs just might come back and drill him in the head and was happy
that neither man took a chair shot to the head. I gasped when he went through
the top of that cell, but relieved to see him have such a safe landing.
Well, one that can be as safe as you can get considering.
Here’s hoping that he pops
back up again at WrestleMania 2000. If not- Mick, thank you.
One more “Shout Out”, but I leave that to the end of the column.
Now onto some other site business. It seems as though Frank “Franchise” Romeo has taken it upon himself in his columns to act as a “den mother” in chastising some of his fellow columnists in getting something done. Hey, it even got Jacqui to get us a New Rake to the Eyes. But, one situation I want to address is something that has been a bone of contention amongst us here at ECWNews.com and also in emails that BJ, others and myself have been getting. Where has g ward been? Well, we consider ourselves here to be a family, as dysfunctional as it might be. G’s last column was, well, a bit over the edge than we’d like and he refused to take out the offending matters. Thus resulting in a suspension. Its hope the entire mess can be cleaned up very soon. Again, as I said, I like to keep family business in the family, but with the attention recently brought around, I wanted to share things.
CyberSlam, CyberSlam,
CyberSlam. Thanks to Frank and John Sullo for bringing back some
great fan weekend memories. Thanks to Jacqui for calling this the “real
y2chaos”. I’m working on making this one the best ever. Even if you can’t
make the Stabler trip. If you’re going to be in Philadelphia for the Arena
show on April 22nd, you owe it to yourself as an ECW fan to be a part of
this. PLUS, if you don’t have your arena ticket already, you can get it
in advance that day or even before hand. Each and every year these things
seem to be getting more and more outrageous. Who knows what’s gonna happen
this year? If you have always said to yourself, “ Y’know, I should go this
year to this thing”, this is the year to go. Having the event at Legends
is just going to add to the event. I’m really hoping that we get
a great turn out from the fans of ECWNews.com. That especially since we
will be presenting the 1999 Awards over the course of the afternoon. Hmm.
Tell ya what I’ll do. If you haven’t already signed up for CyberSlam 2000.
I’ll make you, the reader of this column, a special deal. If you come to
CS2K based upon my recommendation, I will give you a discount on the packages.
First off, go visit the cyberslam
information, decide which of the packages fits your need. Next, email
the special email address that’s been established- [email protected].
In that email, tell me which package you’ll be ordering and I’ll get back
to you with your special discount price.
You must let me know that you saw this announcement in my column and its gonna be good throughout the entire month of March. How about that????????????
Now, I get personal, so if you don’t want to go on, this is the time to check out CS2K.
I have one final shoutout as mentioned. That is to Paul Heyman. It’s getting close to March 3, 2000. What Paul did to honour my mothers passing on March 4,1999 is something that I’ll never forget and helped me through an understandably difficult time in my life. With the anniversary of that coming up this weekend, I’m pleased that I will be around friends at the ECW Arena. I mean not only those in the ring, but those outside of it as well. Thanks for reading if you’d made it this far.
