This is the Q and A session conducted the weekend of the infamous ‘Born To Be Wired’ match at the ECW Arena during the Summer of 1997.  This is an excellent interview session that includes Terry Funk telling many incredible stories from his 30+ years in wrestling, and Paul Heyman giving his usual no holds barred answers to any and every question presented to him. 

Segment 1 – Sandman, Chris Chetti, The Eliminators, Tommy Dreamer and Beulah 

Sandman comes out first and apologizes for his conduct at the last fan convention.  

Chetti, The Eliminators, Tommy Dreamer and Beulah soon join. 

Topics discussed - feelings on the different chants that the fans come up with, the Cornette/Lawler angle, their reactions of wrestlers jumping to WCW, wrestling in Japan, building ECW and how it is run.  Tommy talks about Kimona.  Chetti talkes about going through the House of Hardcore.  Beulah talks about how she came to ECW. 

Segment 2 – RVD, Louie Spicolli, Shane Douglas and Francine 

Topics discussed – Francine talkes about why and how she got involved in wrestling.  Shane talks about Mick Foley and other wrestlers who left ECW.  RVD talks about the Van Dam lift, wrestling vs. making movies, and wrestling in Japan.  Louie talks about the rumors of him having heat with ECW. 

Segment 3 – Taz, Terry Funk, Tod Gordon 

Topics discussed – Funk talks about his retirement match in Amarillo, favorite matches, worst gimmick, Bret Hart, helping out young guys in the business.  Taz talks about how he got started in wrestling, Paul Varlens, UFC, running the House of Hardcore, the angle with the USWA vs. ECW, and paying your dues.  Tod Gordon talks about the Barely Legal PPV. 

Segment 4 – Paul Heyman and Balls Mahoney join Taz, Terry Funk, and Tod Gordon 

Topics discussed – Balls talks about how he got his start in the business.  Paul Heyman talks about the Pitbulls, Raven, WCW taking ECW’s talent, Stevie Richards, working with the WWF and other promotions, the sheet writers, Nancy Sullivan and Jim Cornette.
